The Christmas tree effect is good...!

The background is supposed to be what?! A powerstation or something?! LOL

The tree is brilliant but the background is a bit to simple apart from the power poles maybe. but I guess it must be there there in order to lit up the tree ;) :p

Sweet idea...

I see a man standing behind the tree... who is it?
Good idea, good use of the light on top..

Like Daniela said: "I envy your idea!" - What a GREAT concept. I do agree with Patrick that I don't quite understand the setting, but I really like the analog film frame and the blur/vignette. Very cool concept and great execution! - jason

Great – I love the whole idea – the background is totally bizarre and works incredibly well for me. I guess my only suggestion would be for you to have totally ‘blacked-up’ and moved around when ‘painting’ the Christmas tree so that your image didn’t pick up. I can see you’ve used yourself intentionally as part of the compo – but maybe I find that area of the image just a little too busy. But, just my passing thoughts.
The frame works well and suits the image.

Traff All on this picture is intentional. I know, so everybody can say that, but You can believe me ;) I mean: color, unfocused edge areas, etc. and for a end my person behind of xmas tree... anyway thx for comment.

GFXartist sponsor bigkate U ask how long was exposed this picture. I made this tree by one shoot: 30'' ... of course u can made some like this by much longer expo, but u must remember about light of surrounding plane. So, u must balance between a your light source/s and light of surrounding. If u take too closed aperture your light (f.e. flashlight) will be too transparent, and if u take too opened aperture You must be careful and very fast in drawing of motive because too much light will be cached... You have of course one more solution, just use a ISO/ASA of camera or material but don't forget about a contrast in this case... U can test some solutions, this is only seemingly hard to take... and really fun during creating some like this (especially for some passers-by )
...

actually the more i look at this, the more i like it. at first i felt the background kind of ruined the image because of how simple it looks and because it doesn't really have anything to do with christmas..but then it just clicked. the dreamy, urban feel of it is really exceptional. love the xmas tree effect, impressive shot

Let me guess... DP mag film border templates. Am I right?
Anyway, I am really happy to see some real creative and effective manipulation (not just some random "art" effect as in too many pics today). The guys at DPmag really inspire the readers with a hunt for good taste. You've been caught, too. Keep up the good work! ;)

Thx for comment.
No, this border is not from a DPmag - for more adv. user  chrisgraphics think about http://www.photographymags.co.uk/ and about this link:

anyway, no - it's not this frame but THX for suggestion. You inspire me to find this link, and thx for suggestion

And BTW it's not a manipulation, i made this picture by my self ex. by my own hands...

regards,

Andrzej Wierzchon
