Very good shot, it is nicely a-typical of macro flower shots, and gives a good abstract. The dof is really nicely done.

Excellent. Even the pollen is visible. Looks like the flower version of your portraits, all the character is shown at the heart of the photo.

hm... nobody crited on the DOF yet but I'll do - it's not just the center (I would believe you if you said..) but the complete picture is not sharp enough in my eyes :/
and those shadows on the flower in the background, i'm not sure but is that the shadow of your lense?

I don't know if it was intended this way but in my eyes there are just better macros, even from first-posters. Sorry, but this time just 4 points for the interesting motive and the "fresh" idea of converting a flower to b/w, no points for technique

I like the symmetry and different tones to this. I disagree with those that have the view that everything has to be perfectly sharp in a photo. The DOF works well here!!

The pic makes me think of a Science-fiction starport with little vessels buzzing around a hub.

Very nice macro shot, details are the most interesting.
Geometrical references in the nature are always eye-catching.
A kind of abstract mood int this one also.

Well, I've been away for almost the whole month of NOVEMBER and I just am getting a chance to spend a few moments here now... and WOW there is some good stuff happening!

This is an AMAZING macroTHANG shot, and works on so many levels. EXCELLENT!

i love plants, not in the typical way...but you have maybe captured this one in a way i like them to see(because its rare to find good photographs of plants)
i have to think on structures, like chemical ones, or mathematics...which can all be find in such typical plant-views...ie. geometrical and mirrored
